- Payment data — handled directly by Stripe; we don't store your full card number.
- Usage data — reading/listening activity and time spent on content (used to calculate Author payouts and Platform stats), pages visited, device and browser information.
- Communications — messages you send us, e.g. via the Contact page.

3. How We Use It
- To provide and maintain the Platform (accounts, subscriptions, content delivery);
- To calculate and pay Author compensation accurately;
- To verify your email and secure your account;
- To process payments (via Stripe) and payouts (via Wise);
- To communicate with you about your account or the service;
- To improve the Platform and understand how it's used;
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax and accounting records).
4. Legal Basis (UK GDPR)
We process your data because it's necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the subscription service), because we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving the Platform, or because you've given consent (e.g. for optional cookies).

We share data only where necessary to run the Platform:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Wise — Author payouts
- Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and media storage (R2)
- Hetzner — server hosting
- Resend — sending verification/transactional emails

Our servers are located in the United States (Oregon), and some of our service providers operate internationally. This means your data may be processed outside the UK/EEA.
